Two Halloween Cards

Well, I've already been busy playing with my new things from Simon Says Stamp! I made a couple of Halloween cards.

Love this one! See my previous post for products used. The only exception is the black ribbon which I used....

Seam binding sprayed with two Glimmer Mists in Afraid of the Dark and Black Magic

The only product I used that wasn't in my last post is the Glimmer Mist (color: Sunflower) pictured to the left

Happy crafting everyone!

First Purchase from Simon Says Stamp!

Well I've just recently been hearing  a TON about Simon Says Stamp. Their website (http://www.simonsaysstamp.com/servlet/StoreFront) has an amazing selection of (you guessed it...) stamps, but also tons of other scrapbooking supplies. I found several 6x6 paper packs that most other sites no longer have because they've been out for a while. They also have a great YouTube channel with card-making tutorials (http://www.youtube.com/user/SimonSaysStamp1).

Apparently I'm on a huge Halloween/Fall kick. (Wishful thinking in this 107 degree heat? I think so!) Here's what I got with my first order:
Blush and Delight 6x6 paper pad from Authentique's Free Bird Series
Memory Box "Blackbird" 6x6 paper pack
Memory Box "Nightfall" 6x6 paper pack

Artistic Outpost "Haunted Halloween" stamp set
(comes unmounted as a solid sheet of rubber)

Cling mount (for stamps above)
Here's what the stamps look like after I mounted and trimmed them out

Memory Box "Harvest Moon" stamp

Memory Box "Cat and Moon" stamp
I just HAD to have this since I have two black cats. I was a bit disappointed with the size of it (about 2 inches squared)

Doodlebug twine in "Halloween"

Technique Tuesday by Ali Edwards stamp set in "Autumn Afternoons with Ali"

Bo Bunny "Blitzen" stamp set (too cute to pass up for $3)

My order came very fast. I ordered it Thursday and it was waiting for me when I got home from Dallas on Sunday. I'm not sure what day it got here but that's pretty efficient! I was excited to see that the Memory Box papers are printed on "paper from a certified sustainable forest program" with soy based ink. Thumbs up for Memory Box!
I'm excited to get to work with these new toys. I'll post any projects I make with these supplies.

See you guys later!

Quick Card Share---Gorjuss Girl

Hey everyone! I'm feeling inspired today and want to give this blogging thing a try. So here we go....

Today I wanted to share a card I made using the Gorjuss Girls stamp called "Puddles of Love." One of my favorite YouTubers got me hooked on these stamps!
I also used a 6x6 paper pad by My Mind's Eye called Honey Cake. I found this steal at T. J. Maxx for $3!

Finally, here's the card:
Isn't she adorable! I colored her face and hair with copics and paper pieced her boots, jacket, and umbrella. The rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts (FM-00065). I sprayed it with Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist (I am addicted to Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist!) The sentiment stamp came from www.joann.com. The bird is a Martha Stewart punch I picked up from Michael's. (Also very much addicted to birds!)
Here's the inside:

And then just another little umbrella on the envelope to tie things together. It's so easy to paper piece this stamp.

That's it for today. Hopefully I'll talk to you all again soon!
